This is the TamJets TJ70 carbon fiber/heat sink fan shroud.
The unit is intended as a high power platform where you choose your own rotor (maybe migrate from existing fan) such as a rotor from a Wemo mini, DS-30, HET or E-Flite. Required rotor category: 70mm
These units are the 28mm variant and fit the E-Flite BL15 3600Kv motor as well as the E-Flite BL32 2150Kv motor. Any 28mm motor suited for EDF operation will fit.
The advantages of using the TJ70 Carbon Fiber shroud and heatsink are stiffness and better cooling, allowing you to push each component much further without sacrificing longevity or reliability.
When using the E-Flite BL15 3600Kv the setup is laid out for 5S lipo operation and will produce 1400W.
Alternatively, you can employ the E-Flite BL32 2150Kv which is highly flexible. The setup is capable of being operated from 5-8S in a power range from 1000-2500W
These are Tams words on the BL32 setup:
"Once you put this set up in, you just cant go back to stock set up. Trust me... I had a blast with this set up on 5s-8s and my take off, unlimited verticle and speed it just insane. Not only that. With extra power you actually can fly longer with throttle management."
